Seven seconds. One lifetime. One love story.
Saitan Theatre Group returns with its new stage production, Rooh aur Farishta, a romantic drama that brings together poetry, songs, scenework and qissagoi to tell a story of love, longing, dreams and destiny. The play moves fluidly between Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi, creating a rich poetic world where storytelling and music become part of the emotional landscape.
At the heart of the story are two beings who were never meant to meet, the Farishta, whose duty is to carry souls from the earth to the sky, and a Rooh, whose feet remained on the earth but whose dreams always reached for the sky.
But Rooh aur Farishta does not begin at the beginning. It begins at the end. Rooh aur Farishta unfolds within the last seven seconds before death, the fleeting moment when a person lives an entire lifetime in the space between one breath and the next. Memories return, forgotten conversations come alive, songs echo from another time, and a love story unfolds in fragments.
