Sangeet Swayamwar is a classic mythological Marathi musical play that explores the profound theme of romantic devotion and the victory of love over political rivalry. The story follows Princess Rukmini, who falls deeply in love with Lord Krishna despite never having met him, drawn to his noble character, beauty, and bravery. However, her brother Rukmi pledges her hand in marriage to his close friend, Shishupal. Remaining steadfast in her devotion, Rukmini determines to marry only Krishna, who has historically defeated Shishupal's army multiple times.
