What would have been the fate of Shah Jahan`s Taj Mahal if the emperor lived in the present times? That`s the theme of this hilarious burlesque. The persistent Shah Jahan, in no mood to accept excuses for delays, sends the somnolent government construction department into a tizzy. The engineers and overseers get down to business to fulfill the emperor`s wish. An outbreak of activities ensues but in a typical sarkari manner. Tenders are issued and contractors are hired. But does the project see the light of the day? Or does the emperor become a victim of the system himself? Though the fate of the wonder tomb is uncertain, lofty laughter castles are assured as the curtain is raised on Taj Mahal Ka Tender.
