
About The Event
‘Tax Free’ originally written in Marathi has been acknowledged as amongst India’s premiere one act plays. It has been translated to Hindi by Vidula Gore and has been translated into several other Indian and foreign languages. We ignore our blind approach towards the lacking and sorrows that exist in our lives. The monotony of our busy lives has bound us into a state of lifelessness. We aim to bring in an optimistic and festive point of view in life. Through this play we hope to revolutionise the illusionistic ideas that people have in their minds. Through his one act play we shall depict emotions such as curiosity, surprise, anger, helplessness, frustration, love and many others with the help of ingenious execution. The art of living has been projected through the medium of humour and satire. From the point of view of language, the dialogue writing has been carried out in a way that brings about the essence of acting among the actors.
There are 4 characters in the play, all of whom have been executed theatrically. In contemporary settings, our lives have been bounded by hectic schedules. We have all the means of entertainment, yet we are displeased. This act is an effort to understand and expose the causes behind the same.
