The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) takes on all thirty-seven plays across two acts - tragedies get sprinted through, the comedies collapse into each other on purpose, and Titus Andronicus becomes, memorably, a cooking segment. Three actors play every role Shakespeare ever wrote, sometimes several at once, with the costume rack working overtime throughout, and one interval to catch a breath before the second half.
Hamlet gets treated as too important for a single pass, so it comes back for an encore - performed forwards, then backwards, for anyone who missed something the first time. It's a show for people who love the language and have no patience left for a four-hour tragedy: real reverence for the text, delivered at a dead sprint.
