About The Event
The classic returns to The Grand Theatre — NMACC's magnum opus that unfolds the story of India across centuries through music, dance, and drama.
Witness The Great Indian Musical: Civilization To Nation, a theatrical spectacle tracing India's civilizational journey — from the primordial sound of Om to the birth of the modern nation. Through music, dance, and drama, it celebrates the diversity, resilience, and shared heritage that continue to define India.
Conceived, written, and directed by Feroz Abbas Khan, the musical brings together celebrated creative talent from India and around the world. It features original music by Ajay-Atul, costumes by Manish Malhotra, lead choreography by Mayuri Upadhya, guest choreography by Vaibhavi Merchant and Samir & Arsh Tanna, alongside Neil Patel (Production Design), Donald Holder (Lighting Design), John Narun (Projection Design), Gareth Owen (Sound Design), and Renuka Pillai (Makeup Design).
Narrated by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan and brought to life by a cast of over 100+ artists, the musical features more than 1,300 costumes and immersive visual storytelling. Spanning ancient traditions, epic narratives, the struggle for independence, and the adoption of the Indian Constitution, it culminates in a celebration of a civilization that became a nation.
This is an extraordinary theatrical experience that lingers long after the final curtain.
