About The Event
"The Light Catcher is a masterpiece of solo theatre" – The Wee Review
"Shrotri moves effortlessly from one character to the next... in this delightful production." – Broadway Baby
The Light Catcher is a powerful English solo play from India with a truly global voice. At its heart is Kanika, a celebrated photographer on an emotional quest to find her favourite photograph. But instead of discovering it in her albums, she finds it hidden in life itself.
As Kanika revisits portraits of women she has photographed across the world — from Ethiopia to Venezuela, India to the UK — their stories come alive on stage. Some are heartwarming, others hard-hitting, all unforgettable.
Written by Niranjan Pedanekar, Directed by Sanket Parkhe.
