The play serves as a breezy, supernatural sequel to the iconic 1983 Tamil film Paritchaikku Neramachu. In the original movie, the character Varadu Kutty (played by Y. G. Mahendran) tragically dies in a road accident. The sequel picks up right where the films tragedy left off:

The central character, Varadu Kutty, returns to Earth as a ghost/spirit.

To attain final salvation and return to Heaven, his spirit must complete a specific task on Earth.

His mission is to personally tutor Devaram, a below-average, underprivileged student who is the son of a local police constable, and successfully help him pass his Plus Two (12th grade) board exams.
