Best known for his comic satire series, Tere Bin Laden, and Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive, Abhishek Sharma is an Indian film writer and director. He is one of those rare directors of Hindi film industry who dares to make films on contemporary issues which are entertaining but at the same time raises some thought-provoking questions. His 2014 movie `The Shaukeens` however, couldn`t garner the same amount of appreciation which Tere Bin Laden series did.

Abhishek`s 2018 directorial Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran with John Abraham in the lead along with Diana Penty was based on India`s first confidential nuclear test series which is considered as the cornerstone in placing our country on the world nuclear map. His other releases include The Zoya Factor and Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari (2020)
