Adam Rodriguez a.k.a. Adam Michael Rodriguez is an American actor, screenwriter and director, born on April 2, 1976 in Yonkers, New York, United States, the son of Janet, an airline ticket agent, and Ramon Rodríguez, an executive with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He aimed to be professional baseball player, but after a high school injury, he turned to acting and performed in a children's theater in New York.He appeared in commercials and his first film appearance was as an extra in The X-Files.He has appeared in a number of music videos, including Jennifer Lopez's 1999 video, "If You Had My Love", opposite Nicole Richie, Melanie Fiona's "It Kills Me". He joined the main cast of CSI: Miami which premiered in 2002 and directed and wrote the episode "Hunting Ground" (Season 9 Episode 16). In 2009, he starred Tyler Perry movie, I Can Do Bad All By Myself as Sandino, which won him the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture. He splits his time between New York and Los Angeles, and has a third residence in Puerto Rico. He appeared in Let The Game Begin and Magic Mike. He earned an ALMA Award in 2011 for his breakthrough role as Eric Delko on "CSI: Miami” and also credited for writing and directing two episodes of the show.
