America Georgine Ferrera is an American actress, known for her portrayal of Betty Suarez ABC`s comedy-drama series Ugly Betty (2006 - 2010). The actress won Her acting garnered critical acclaim, and she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Television Series Musical or Comedy. She started off on the small screen and appeared in quite a few TV series like Real Women Have Curves (2002), American Family (2002), Touched by an Angel (2002) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2004) and films like How the Garcia Girls Spent Their Summer (2005), and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (2005).
