Amyra Dastur is an Indian actress and model who is best known for her roles in the 2013 Tamil romantic-thriller Anegan and the upcoming Jackie Chan starrer, Kung Fu Yoga (2017). She started modelling at the age of 16 and has been associated with the ad campaigns of major brands like Dove, Clean and Clear, Micromax and Vodafone.

Early Life
Born on 7th May 1993, Dastur initially attended the Cathedral and John Connon School and later joined the Dhirubai Ambani International School. She has a younger brother named Jehangir. At the age of 16, she took a break from academics to actively pursue a career in modelling.

In a 2015 interview with The Huffington Post, Dastur confessed to struggling with depression, anxiety and anger management issues in her adolescence. She also admitted to being in therapy for depression. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor`s Degree at the H.R. College in Mumbai.

Career
After four years and numerous popular ad campaigns, Dastur landed her first acting role in a movie at the age of 20 through Manish Tiwary`s 2013 drama Issaq co-starring Prateik Babbar. Though the film was a critical and commercial failure, Dastur`s performance was well-received. In 2015, Dastur starred opposite Dhanush in the K.V. Anand romantic thriller Anegan. For her performance in the movie, she won the SIIMA Award for Best Debutant. In the same year came Dastur`s second Bollywood outing - alongside Emraan Hashmi in the Vikram Bhatt sci-fi thriller Mr. X. However, the film failed to make waves at the box office.

In 2017, Dastur was cast in the multilingual comedy Kung Fu Yoga alongside Jackie Chan and Oodi Oodi Uzhaikanum, alongside Santhanam. She, then, made her Telugu film debut with Manasuku Nachindi (2018), followed by Raju Gadu (2018). She, then, appeared in Akshat Verma`s Hindi comedy Kaalakaandi (2018) and Rajma Chawal (2018). Her other projects include Kangana Ranaut starrer Judgemental Hai Kya (2019), Prassthanam (2019) and Made In China (2019).
