Best known for portraying the role of Priyanka in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Disha Patani is an Indian model and actress. Apart from being an actress, Disha is known for her fashion sense and her dancing skills.

EARLY LIFE
Born in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Disha studied computer science and engineering from Amity University, Lucknow. However, she did not pursue her career in engineering, considering she received innumerable modeling offers. She went on to participate in Femina Miss India Indore`s 2013 edition, where she was declared the first runner-up. Winning the title, Disha managed to grab several eyeballs and the attention of few ad filmmakers and feature film directors.

PERSONAL LIFE
Disha Patani`s alleged romance with Tiger Shroff has been in the news for years but the two have often rubbished the rumours and maintained that the two share a very close friendship.

DEBUT & INITIAL YEARS
Having appeared in few TVCs helped Disha in bagging her first feature film, the Telugu movie Loafer opposite Varun Tej. Although the movie opened to mixed reviews and eventually flopped at the box-office, Disha`s performance was well-received by the audience and critics alike. The following year, in 2016, she featured alongside Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in the music video of the song Befikra, where she was lauded for her dancing skills.

BREAKTHROUGH & BEYOND
After seeing her on-screen chemistry with Tiger, she was considered to play the lead role in the 2016 action romance. However, the makers decided against it and cast Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. Her breakthrough came with Neeraj Pandey`s sport biographical drama M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, where she played the role of Dhoni`s girlfriend Priyanka Jha. While her role if the biopic wasn`t very elaborate, she managed to wow the audience and was praised by the critics. Marking her Bollywood debut with M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Disha went on to receive several nominations and won the IIFA Award for Best Female Debut.

RECENT PROJECTS
In 2017, she featured alongside Jackie Chan in the Indo-Chinese trilingual movie Kung Fu Yoga. She played the role of Asmita in the action-adventure comedy, which also starred other Indian actors such as Sonu Soon and Amyra Dastur. The movie went on to become Jackie Chan`s highest-grossing film in China and was also the highest-grossing comedy film in China up until Never Say Die overtook its box-office record in 2017.

She was then roped in to be a part of Baaghi 2, opposite Tiger Shroff. Playing Tiger`s love interest in the action romance, the movie is a remake of the 2016 Telugu movie Kshanam. Her other releases include Bharat (2019), Malang (2020), Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai (2021), Ek Villain Returns (2022), Yodha (2024), KTina (2024), Project K (2024) and Suriya 42 (2024).
