A multiple award-winning director, Anil Radhakrishnan Menon is best known for directing the 2013 film North 24 Kaatham. The film, which marked his debut, won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Malayalam and the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Film. Born and raised in Ottappalam, Kerala, Anil Radhakrishnan, after completing his post-graduation moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in filmmaking. Before making it big in the film industry, he directed many popular TV commercials.

After a successful start, the director gained more fame and recognition with his second film, Sapthamashree Thaskaraha (2014), which received highly positive reviews from the critics and became a hit at the box office. His other notable films include Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi (2015) and Diwanjimoola Grand Prix (2018), a Malayalam-language film starring Kunchako Boban, Nyla Usha, Nedumudi Venu and Vinayakan.
