Popular for his role of Aishwarya Rai's love interest in the successful Shah Rukh Khan starrer Josh (2000), Chandrachur Singh is an Indian film actor who featured as one of the leads in the movie. He is a recipient of the Filmfare Best Debut Award for the movie Maachis (1996). He has starred in several movies, the prominent ones being Dil Kya Kare (1999) featuring Ajay Devgn and Kajol, Kya Kehna (2000) as Preity Zinta's best friend, the average grosser Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa (2001), the romantic movie Mohabbat Ho Gayi Hai Tumse (2005) opposite Sanjay Dutt and Shamita Shetty, and Zilla Ghaziabad (2013) in the role of Karamvir. In 2017, Chandrachur was cast in the action film Aa Gaya Hero by director Dipankar Senapati, starring Govinda in the lead role, but the movie failed to perform well. Chandrachur's other venture in 2017 includes the Indian English movie Yadvi - The Dignified Princess, in which he plays the lead role of His Highness Maharaja Bhupinder Singh. This movie, which revolves around a princess raised in an extremely wealthy family but loses her privileges, also features Charu Vyas and Vibhu Raghave in significant roles.
