In a career spanning close to four decades, American actress Christine Baranski has appeared in over 35 films, numerous television shows, and stage productions. Baranski started out on stage, garnering critical acclaim early on in her career through Broadway productions like The Real Thing and Rumors. Her performances in these plays won Baranski the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play, in 1984 and 1989. Though the actress' feature film debut came in the 1982 sex comedy Soup for One, it was her role in the CBS sitcom Cybill (1995-1998) that marked a turning point in Baranski's career.
