Ciaran Hinds is an Irish film, television and stage actor. While pursuing the law degree from the Queen`s University of Belfast, he left his studies midway to train in acting at RADA. Hinds began his stage career at the Glasgow Citizens` Theatre as a pantomime horse in the production of Cinderella (1976). Subsequently, he made his film debut with the epic fantasy movie Excalibur (1981). From his movie work, he amassed a large number of television credits. Playing such classic characters as Mr. Rochester in Jane Eyre (1997), and Captain Wentworth in Persuasion (1995) has increased his popularity and most definitely given him much increased recognition.
He then acted in films as Road to Perdition (2002), Munich (2005),
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011), Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2012) and Frozen (2013). He won BTVA People`s Choice Voice Acting Award in 2014 for Best Vocal Ensemble in a Feature Film for Frozen (2013). His other notable releases include Hitman: Agent 47 (2015), Bleed for This (2015), Silence (2017) and
First Man (2018).
