Since his Broadway debut in the 2013 adaptation of Truman Capote`s Breakfast at Tiffany`s, actor Cory Michael Smith has made his mark in American television and cinema through a handful of well-received performances. Among these are his turns as Pvt. Bergen in the indie drama Camp X-Ray (2014), private investigator Tommy Tucker in the drama film Carol (2015) and Walter in the mystery drama Wonderstruck (2017). Television audience is perhaps best familiar with Smith for his portrayal of supervillain Edward Nygma aka The Riddler in the crime-drama series Gotham (2014). In 2018, the actor essayed the role of NASA astronaut Roger B. Chaffee in the biographical drama First Man, which was directed by Damien Chazelle and featured Ryan Gosling in the lead role.
