David Cross is a stand-up comedian, actor, and producer, born in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. Mostly noted for essaying Ian Hawke in Alvin and the Chipmunks and its sequels, Cross has also appeared in TV shows like Mr. Show with Bob and David, Arrested Development, Freak Show, and The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret. He has further voiced Crane in Kung Fu Panda (2008) and reprised the role in Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011), and Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016).
