David Leitch is an American film director, stunt coordinator, stuntman, writer, producer and actor, who is perhaps best known for assisting Chad Stahelski to direct the action extravaganza, John Wick (2014). Before becoming a stunt coordinator he served as a stuntman for actors like Brad Pitt and Jean-Claude Van Damme. He has worked as a stuntman or coordinator on movies like Blade (1998), Fight Club (1999), Men of Honour (2000), The Mexican (2001), Replicant (2001), The Score (2001), Spy Game (2001), Ocean`s Eleven (2001), Daredevil (2003), The Matrix Reloaded (2003), In Hell (2003), Seabiscuit (2003), The Matrix Revolutions (2003), Troy (2004), Constantine (2005), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Serenity (2005), V for Vendetta (2005), Underworld: Evolution (2006), 300 (2006), The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), Jumper (2008), The Midnight Meat Train (2008), X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Angels & Demons (2009), The Hangover (2009), Ninja Assassin (2009), TRON: Legacy (2010), The Mechanic (2011), The Bourne Legacy (2012) and Hitman: Agent 47 (2015).
Leitch has also played bit roles in movie like Ocean`s Eleven (2001), In Hell (2003), V for Vendetta (2005), Ninja Assassin (2009), The Mechanic (2011) and Escape Plan (2013). In 2017 he went on to direct Atomic Blonde, based on Antony Johnston and Sam Hart`s 2012 graphic novel The Coldest City. The spy thriller has Charlize Theron in the lead and James McAvoy, John Goodman, Sofia Boutella, Eddie Marsan and Toby Jones playing supporting roles. Leitch is also directing Deadpool 2 (2018), a sequel to Deadpool (2016). His 2019 release includes Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.
