Devashish Makhija is an Indian filmmaker, author and screenwriter who works primarily in Bollywood. He is best known for writing and directing acclaimed films like Oonga (2013) and Ajji (2017). Besides these, Devashish has also associated as an assistant director on Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday (2004) and the comedy-drama Bunty Aur Babli (2005). Notable among his literary works are the graphic verse collection Occupying Silence and the short story collection Forgetting.
