Director and writer Faraz Haider made his debut in 2005 with the short film Sach Ek Kinnar Katha, following which he went on to be a part of short videos as an assistant editor. Appearing in rather insignificant roles, Faraz was seen in the 2008 movie Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! and War Chod Na Yaar, which also marked his directorial debut. Next, in 2018, he directed the Abhay Deol and Patralekha-starrer horror comedy Nanu Ki Jaanu.
