Gabriel Byrne is an Irish film actor, director, producer and writer. Prior to acting, he was also an archaeologist, a schoolteacher, a chef and a bullfighter. He began his acting career when he joined Focus Theatre and London`s Royal Court Theatre. He made his debut with the film, The Riordans (1978). Some of his notable works include Hanna K (1983), Gothic (1986), Dark Obsession (1989), Trial By Jury (1994), Quest For Camelot (1998), Ghost Ship (2002), Jindabyne (2006) and Quirke (2014). His upcoming movie, The 33, is set to release in January 2016.
