Geethapriya a.k.a. Lakshman Rao Mohite is a film director and renowned lyricist in Kannada film industry. Geethapriya was born on June 15, 1931 in Mysore district of Bangalore. He has directed over 40 films and penned more then 250 songs. Geethapriya contributed and associated with the Kannada films like Preetisi Nodu , Midida Shruti, Suvarna Setuve , Rudra and Police Mattu Dada,which was released in 1991. Geethapriya was awarded the Puttanna Kanagal Award for his contribution to Kannada cinema as a director.
