Gunasekhar is a National award winning Indian film director and writer who predominantly works in the Telugu film industry. He made his directorial debut with Sogasu Chooda Tharamaa (1995). He went on to direct the critically acclaimed Ramayanam (1996) for which he won a National Film Award for Best Children`s Film and was screened at the International Children`s Film Festival of India. A few of his other notable works include Choodalani Vundi (1998), Manoharam (2000), Okkadu (2003), Rakshak: The Protector (2004), Sainikudu (2006), Rudhramadevi (2015) and Shaakuntalam (2023).
