Holly Hunter is an Academy Award winning American actress and producer. She made her debut in the 1981 slasher film The Burning, and has since appeared in over 40 films in the course of a career spanning over three decades. Hunter’s best-known role till date came in the 1993 drama film The Piano, where she played a mute piano player. Her performance in the film earned Hunter the Best Actress Award at the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes, the BAFTA Awards and the Cannes Film Festival that year. Other notable film credits include Raising Arizona (1987), Copycat (1995), O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), The Big White (2005), Jackie (2012), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and The Big Sick (2017). Besides these, she has also done voice roles in The Incredibles (2004) and its upcoming sequel The Incredibles 2, and served as an executive producer on a handful of films and television shows.
