Helen is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob navigates the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life at home with Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack - whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Verdict: The incredible Parr family is back and it’s like they never left. 14 years was a long wait for The Incredibles sequel. And in Incredibles 2, our favorite superhero family, the Parrs, pick up just minutes after we left off in the first film. With over a decade of waiting, we couldn`t be more excited to find out what writer-director Brad Bird had to offer this time around. What`s Incredib... ...Read full review
Although they saved the city of Metroville, superheroes are still decommissioned. After their home was destroyed, the Parr family is given a new lease of life when theyre approached by wealthy siblings Winston (Bob Odenkirk) and Evelyn Deavor (Catherine Keener). It is not often that a sequel that arrives after 14 long years would actually be worth the wait. Incredibles 2 not only works as a nostalgia trip for fans of the original but also a worthy follow up, especially considering the superhero genre is currently beyond saturation point. It is also a nice and quick return to form for director Brad Bird after the disastrous Tomorrowland. ...Read full review
The silver screen is reporting so much superhero activity these days, it`s almost as if no other kind of movie gets made any more. Summers are especially crammed and enthusiasm wears thin. Just then something like Incredibles 2 comes along and breaks through the monotony with its quick-witted action and glorious, good old-fashioned, fun. ...Read full review
It`s incredible that the first Incredibles came out in 2004. That`s 14 years ago. However, as we watch the sequel, there is no time lag ever. It`s like we`ve never left. In fact, the end scene of the last film becomes the starting point of the sequel. It helps that everyone is on the same page. Holly Hunter is still voicing Helen Parr/Elastigirl, Craig T Nelson is still voicing Bob Parr/ Mr Incredible, Sarah Vowell is still Violet and Samuel L Jackson is still the voice of Lucius Best/Frozone. The only change is that Dash is voiced by new actor Huck Milner. ...Read full review
Whod have thought that in a film packed with thrilling James Bond-style set pieces featuring runaway trains and helicopter rescues, the most memorable action scene would turn out to be one involving a little baby and a raccoon? But this is Incredibles 2, and that is no ordinary baby. Just ask the poor raccoon. ...Read full review
