Jisshu Sengupta is an Indian actor, director and TV presenter who is popular in the Bengali film and television industry. He made his acting debut in the Bengali serial Mahaprabhu and played the lead character Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The actor, who has featured in popular and hit Hindi movies like Piku, Mardaani, Barfi! and Byomkesh Bakshi has also directed Bengali serials like Aparajita, Tomay Amay Mile and Shonge Srijit.

In 2017 he was seen in the Bengali drama Posto. Directed by Shiboprosad Mukherjee, and Nandita Roy, the movie along with Sengupta stars Mimi Chakraborty, Soumitra Chatterjee and Lily Chakraborty in important roles. He is also associated with the 2017 movie Yeti Obhijaan directed by Srijit Mukherji starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aryann Bhowmik, Mim Bidya Sinha Saha and Firdaus. His 2018 releases include Ghare & Baire, Uma, Basu Paribar and Ek Je Chilo Raja. His 2019 releases include Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Bornoporichoy, and Mahalaya.
