Writer and actor John Gatins made his acting debut with Witchboard 2: The Devil's Doorway in 1993. He went on to appear in other small roles in movies like Another Day In Paradise, and Imposter, before making his debut as a screenwriter in 2003 with the movie Summer Catch. He then went on to write the screenplay of Hardball and Real Steel. Winning several nominations, including an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay, Gatins then wrote the screenplay of the 2012 drama Flight. He then co-wrote the story of Need For Speed in 2014, Kong: Skull Island and Power Rangers in 2017.
