Joy Sengupta is an Indian actor who works primarily in the Bengali and Hindi film industries. He made his feature film debut with the 1998 Bollywood drama Hazaar Chaurasi Ki Maa, and has since appeared in over 40 films in a career spanning close to two decades. Some of the actor`s best known works include 68 Pages (2007), Four Chapters (2008), the bollywood erotic thriller Hate Story (2012) and Teenkahon (2014). He is also a seasoned stage and television actor, and has appeared in shows like Waaris, Kucchh Pal Saath Tumhara and Antaral. Other significant film credits include Patalghar (2003), Sau Jhooth Ek Sach (2004), Bhopal: A Prayer for Rain (2014) and the 2017 Bengali drama Bilu Rakkhosh. His other releases includes Bidaay Byomkesh, Bhalo Maye Kharap Maye A,mar Artanad, Class of `83 and Ebhabei Golpo Hok.

In 2019, he appeared in the Bengali films Kia And Cosmos (2019) and Bhalo Maye Kharap Maye (2019), as well as the Hindi drama Jhalki (2019). His 2020 credits include the Bengali films Amar Artanad (2020) and Ebhabei Golpo Hok (2020), alongside the Hindi drama Class of `83 (2020). He followed this in 2021 with the Bengali crime mystery Sohorer Upokotha (2021).
In 2022, he featured as an Actor in the Bengali films 60 Er Pore (2022), Tritiyo (2022), and City of Jackals (2022), followed by the 2023 Bengali dramas Datta (2023) and Mahanagari Thekey Durey (2023). His 2024 filmography includes the Bengali titles Sedin Kuyasha Chilo (2024), Khelaghar Bandhte Legechi (2024), Aprokashito (2024), and Mon Potongo - Mind Flies (2024). In 2025, he performed in the Bengali films Porichoy Gupta (2025) and Ahana: The Light Within (2025). His work in 2026 includes the Hindi horror thriller Zorr (2026) and the romantic drama Do Deewane Seher Mein (2026).
