Kamal Swaroop (Kamal) a.k.a Kamal Swarup, is an Indian Bollywood director, writer, radio director and screen writer, born to Amarnath Swaroop in 1950 in Kashmir (India). Kamal has a daughter Ardra Swaroop. Om-Dar-Ba-Dar was his award winning debut film and he won a number of awards like National Film Award and Filmfare Critics Award. Kamal contributed as director and writer to many films including Battle of Banners (2014), Rangbhoomi (2013), Om Dar-B-Dar (1988), Ghashiram Kotwal (1976), Bandish (2007), Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro (1989), Tracing Phalke (2013) etc.
