K. S. L. Swamy was an Indian film producer, director, singer and actor. He made his debut as an independent film director with the movie, Thoogudeepa (1966). His other movies include Gandhinagara (1968), Bhagya Jyothi (1975) and Malaya Marutha (1986). His upcoming movie, Parapancha is set to release in 2015. His movie, Jamboo Savari (1989), won the National Film Award for Best Children`s Film at the 37th National Film Awards.
