Pakistani-American stand-up comedian, actor and screenwriter Kumail Nanjiani is best known for penning and starring in the romantic comedy The Big Sick (2017), which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay that year. Besides this, he has also appeared in the comedy series Silicon Valley (2014-), the sitcom Franklin & Bash (2011-`14) and the romantic comedy-drama Life as We Know It (2010).

Other recent film credits include the action comedy Stuber (2019) and the sci-fi action comedy Men in Black: International (2019), where he voiced the character Pawny.
