An Indian actress and model, Lavanaya Tripathi predominantly works in the South Indian film industry. She made big screen debut with the Telugu movie Andala Rakshasi and was a part of Hindi serials like Ssshhhh...Koi Hai and Pyaar Ka Bandhan.

Early Life
Born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh to a father who is a lawyer and mother who is a retired teacher, Lavanya grew up in Dehradun Uttarakhand, where she attended Marshalls School. Soon after completed her high school education, she moved to Mumbai where she graduated in Economics from Rishi Dayaram National College. In Mumbai, Lavanya started modelling and appearing in advertisements. She also went on to win title of Miss Uttarakhand in 2006.

Movie Career
After making a critically appreciated debut as Midhuna in the 2012 film Andala Rakshasi, Lavanya went on to star in telugu films such as Doosukeltha, Manam and Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. She made her tamil film debut with Bramman in 2014 in which she essayed an aspiring journalist, Gayathri.

The film co-starring M. Sasikumar and directed by Socrates received mostly critical reviews. Behindwoods stated, "Bramman turns out to be a good tale by Socrates that might have lacked a little vigor in the screenplay." In her solitary release of 2015, the actress starred in the Telugu-language romantic comedy Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, which was directed by Maruthi Dasari. The film co-starring Nani and Murali Sharma garnered wide positive reviews from the critics and turned out to be a commercial hit; it grossed more than 550 million INR globally.

In 2016, the actress appeared in three Telugu films, viz. Soggade Chinni Nayana, Srirastu Subhamastu and Lacchimdeviki O Lekkundi. Whilst the first two films received positive reviews from the critics, the latter got mixed reviews and was an average earner at the box office. Her 2017 release includes Mister, a Telugu film directed by Srinu Vaitla. In 2018 she appeared in Antariksham 9000KMPH and in 2019 she played a role in Arjun Suravaram.
