Known for playing mostly comedic roles, Leslie Mann is an American actress and comedian who has starred in many comedy films like George of the Jungle (1997), Perfume (2001), The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Rio (2011), The Bling Ring (2013), and How to be Single (2016). Born in San Francisco and raised in Newport Beach, Mann, after completing her graduation from the Corona del Mar High School, went to study acting under the tutelage of Joanne Baron, an American actress, and Meisner Method acting coach.
Mann was only 18 years old when she started her professional career in the entertainment business, she initially starred in many TV commercials, before eventually getting her first breakthrough on the silver screen with Virgin High (1991). She later appeared in many movies but her claim to fame was her role as Robin Harris in The Cable Guy (1996). Over the years she has starred in many feature films, mostly in comedic and supporting roles or as a voice artist. Her other releases include Blockers (2018) and
Motherless Brooklyn (2019).
Apart from films, the actress has also worked in many TV series`. Some of her most notable TV appearances include Freaks and Geeks (1999), Allen Gregory (2011), and Makers: Women Who Make America (2014).
