A versatile artist, Mark Duplass is an American director, producer, actor, musician and screenwriter who is best known for starring the FV TV series The League. The co-founder of the production company Duplass Brothers Productions, Duplass along with his brother Jay Duplass has produced many films under the banner.
Born in New Orleans, Duplass was raised as a Roman Catholic and he is part of the Cajun ancestry. The alumnus of the City University and the University of Texas, Duplass started his career in the entertainment industry as an actor and made his maiden silver screen appearance was The New Brad in 2002. Over the years, Duplass as acted in many films including The Puffy Chair (2005), True Adolescents (2009), Your Sister's Sister (2011), Tammy (2014), Blue Jay (2016) and Tully (2018), a comedy-drama directed by Jason Reitman.
Apart from acting, Duplass is a successful director and producer, in his illustrious career spanning more than a decade, he has produced more than 15 films and has directed about 10 films. Some of his notable production ventures include Bass Ackwards (2010), The Do-Deca-Pentathlon (2012), The Skeleton Twins (2014), Creep 2 (2017), Wild Wild Country (2018) and Love Sonia (2018).
