Mary Elizabeth Winstead is an American actress and singer born in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Before getting a start in Hollywood, Mary worked as a theatre artist. Mary gained recognition when she was cast for the character of Jessica Bennett in the television series Passions (1999).
Winstead`s first major role in Hollywood was in Sky High (2005). Following this, she was cast as the lead in Final Destination 3 (2006), which was a major success at the box-office. Mary is best known for movies such as Live Free or Die Hard (2007), Grind House (2007), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), The Thing (2011), Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012), Kill the Messenger (2014), 10 Cloverfield Lane (2016), Gemini Man (2019) and
Birds Of Prey And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn (2020).
Mary kicked-started her singing career in 2013 with Dan the Automator. They formed a band, `Got A Girl` and released their first song, You and Me (2013).
