Namit a regular face on TV and has been an active part of theater for almost 12 years. Mentored by Atul Kumar, he has been a part of plays such as Hamlet the Clown Prince, Stories in a Song and The President is Coming. He was also seen in the commercials and the television series Pancham and Sumit Sambhal Lega. He is a trained singer and has also released an album with Anurag Shanker.

Apart from theater, Namit has also acted in movies such as Wake Up Sid (2009), Lafangey Parindey (2010), Ghanchakkar (2013), Ankhon Dekhi (2014) and Hamari Adhuri Kahani (2015). His other releases include Pataakha (2018), directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, The Taj Story (2025).
