Philippa Boyens is a screenwriter and producer started her career as screenwriter for the movie The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) and also co-produced the 2005 movie King Kong. Philippa shared the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in 2004. She is also known for her credits like The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003), The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012) and The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002). Her 2018 release includes Mortal Engines, directed by Christian Rivers.
