Rutger Hauer, born as Rutger Oelsen Hauer on January 23, 1944 in Breukelen, Utrecht, Netherlands, is an actor and writer who made his prolific effort in both Dutch and Hollywood ventures. He made his acting debut in a TV series ‘Floris’ and later made his appearance in several TV series and films.He has worked in nearly 155 projects which includes ‘Admiral’, ‘The Letters’ and ‘Dracula 3D’. Apart from being an actor he also made his mark as a director, producer and an environmentalist. He has also participated in various social welfare programs. His 2017 release includes Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
