A recipient of multiple Filmfare and IIFA Awards, Sham Kaushal is a veteran stunt coordinator and action director who works primarily in Hindi cinema. He made his showbiz debut in the 1980s, and has since choreographed the stunt sequences for over a hundred movies. Some of Kaushal`s best known works include the superhero film Krrish (2006), the action thriller Kaminey (2009), Anurag Kashyap`s Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), Dhoom: 3 (2013), the epic historical romance Bajirao Mastani (2015) and the biographical sports drama Dangal (2016).

While he won the Filmfare Award for Krrish, Gangs of Wasseypur and Dangal, his work in Kaminey and Bajirao Mastani earned Kaushal IIFA Award for Best Action. Other notable film credits in recent times include Padmaavat (2018), Sanju (2018) and Unda (2019), the last of which marked his return to Malayalam cinema after over two decades.
