Smita Tambe is an Indian film and television actress who works primarily in the Marathi entertainment industry. She made her movie debut in the 2006 Marathi film Naatigothi, and rose to prominence courtesy of her performance in the National Award winning drama film Jogwa - The Awakening (2009). Some of her best known acting credits include 72 Miles - Ek Pravas (2013), Umrika (2015) and Bioscope (2015). Besides these, Smita has also appeared in a handful of Bollywood films, notably Singham Returns (2014) and the 2017 mystery drama Rukh. Other significant acting credits include Tukaram (2012), Candle March (2014) and Kis Kiss Ka Kissa (2017). In 2018, she appeared alongside Makarand Deshpande and Kranti Redkar in Pramod Pawar`s Marathi drama Truckbhar Swapna. Her other releases include Saavat (2019) and Bittersweet (2020).
