In the course of a career spanning over two decades, action choreographer Stun Siva worked in over sixty movies across all major film industries in India, besides venturing into acting and direction. He started out as a stunt double and assistant in Tamil cinema in the late 1980s, and eventually established himself as an independent stunt director courtesy of his work in movies like Sethu (1999), Nandha (2001), Pithamagan (2003) and Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006). His work in the romantic psychological thriller Kannukkul Nilavu (2000) earned Siva the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Stunt Coordinator in 2001.

While he has appeared in uncredited roles in several films in the past, Siva started receiving more meatier parts in movies post-2000. Notable among his acting credits are the romantic drama Album (2002), the crime drama Pithamagan (2003), the crime thriller Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006), the action thriller Theri (2016) and the drama Goli Soda 2 (2018). Other significant film credits in recent times as a stunt coordinator include Kaavalan (2011), Nimirndhu Nil (2014), Kumki 2 (2018) and Karathe Karan (2018), the last of which also marked his directorial debut.
