Born in New Delhi, India, Subhash Kapoor is an Indian director, screenwriter, and producer, who made his directorial debut with the 2007 movie Say Salaam India. He then helmed the satire film Phas Gaye Re Obama (2010). Starring Rajat Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Sanjay Mishra, Manu Rishi and Amole Gupte in the lead roles, the movie opened to great response, commercially as well as critically. In 2013, he made the Arshad Warsi-Boman Irani starrer courtroom drama Jolly LLB, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. His other release includes Jolly LLB 2, a sequel to Jolly LLB and Madam Chief Minister (2021). His other movies include Mogul and Jolly LLB 3.
