Born in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, Sumeet Vyas moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in writing and acting. Making his debut with a minor role in the TV series Woh Hue Na Hamare in 2009, it was only five years later that Sumeet gained popularity with the Web series Permanent Roommates produced by TVF (The Viral Fever). He received wide acclaim for his role in the Web series and went on to star in another series by TVF titled TVF Tripling, which he also co-wrote.

Prior to gaining popularity in 2014, Sumeet appeared on the TV show Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein, essaying the role of Kartik. He has also appeared in movies such as Aarakshan (2011), English Vinglish (2012), Parched (2015), and Guddu Ki Gun (2015).

Sumeet, who is primarily a theatre actor, made his Bollywood lead role debut alongside Kalki Koechlin in 2017 with Rakhee Sandilya`s Ribbon. His other releases include High Jack and Made In China.
