Son of acclaimed singer K. J. Yesudas, Vijay Yesudas is one of the most sought after playback singers in the South Indian film industry, having Kerala State Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, IIFA Utsavam Awards, and South Indian International Movie Awards to his credit. His most prominent songs include `Kolakkuzhal Vili Ketto`, `Mazhakondu Mathram`, `Mazha Kondu`, `Thirayum Theeramum`, `Malare` and `Ee Puzhayum`. He predominantly sings for Tamil and Malayalam cinema, along with a few songs in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages. He is also an actor, who started off with the 2010 Malayalam movie Avan. He played the role of Inspector Arjun Kumar in the blockbuster Dhanush starrer Maari. His 2017 singing venture includes the songs `Maina Rendu` in the Tamil action drama Sathriyan, and the song titled `Athimara Kombile` in the Malayalam film Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol. His 2019 releases include Badri v/s Madhumathi and Rakshapurushan.
