Doosra
About the movie
On 13 July 2002, India's stunning comeback against England in the NatWest Final sparked a celebration that became part of history. Sourav Ganguly's defiant shirt-waving celebration at Lord's captured the spirit of a changing India - bold, unapologetic, and ready to break free from convention.
Watching at home, Tara, a young girl in a conservative household, sees more than a cricketing triumph. She finds the courage to challenge the world around her, whatever the consequences.
Blending real cricketing history with Tara's deeply personal story, Abhinay Deo's Doosra is an uplifting tale of a nation finding its voice, and a young girl finding hers.
