About the movie
Gautam Joglekar has scripted and directed ``Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha``. An American couple adopt Ashwini from an orphanage in Pune. Ashwini then becomes one of the best tennis players in the world and visits India solely to make a donation to the orphanage. The Mohite family from Kolhapur has sponsored her trip and they send their son Vishal (Hemmant Dhome) to fetch her from the Mumbai airport. On her journey from to Mumbai-Pune-Kolhapur she meets many people including a photo-journalist, Rajat (Siddharth Chandekar), a couple Dilip and Amruta Rege, (Mahesh Manjrekar and Mrunal Kulkarni) and many other people. Ashwini is impressed by the culture and loves all the places she visits. The director has even picturized a song on Pune to depict its rich heritage.
