Indusri (Rekha) daughter of a rich builder Gopi (Devaraj) falls in love with Ganesh (Diganth) in the college days.
Inviting Ganesh to the house, Indusri`s mother (played by Thara) hands over a book called `16` to read. Jointly Ganesha and Indusri read this book and the lengthy flashback unfolds. It is set in the village background. Indu (Archana) and Gopi (Faisal) in the school age are close friends. Gopi reaching 10th standards proposes to Indu. This is not so easy for Indu to accept as she is opposed by the family members.
