About the movie
Based on actual events that happened during the time of Veerappan, Kathi Kappal hopes to bring to the fore atrocities suffered by the tribal women in the forest region. The brunt of the constant battle between the Special Task Force and Veerappan's men borne by the regional women, has become a political issue. These women were starved, sexually abused and harassed by both parties.
